Antique Cut Crystal & Sterling Silver Monogrammed Vanity Jar

A beautiful early 20th-century dresser jar pairing substantial hand-cut crystal with an exceptionally detailed sterling silver lid. The rounded crystal body is deeply cut with crisp geometric, fan and starburst motifs that catch the light beautifully, while the sterling lid is worked in dimensional floral and scrolling repoussé surrounding a softly domed central cartouche.

The cartouche retains its original period-script monogram, “JEB,” giving the piece the wonderfully personal character of an heirloom dressing-table object. Originally intended for face powder, creams or other vanity essentials, today it makes an equally beautiful vessel for jewelry, keepsakes or simply as a decorative piece on a dressing table.

CONDITION
Lovely antique condition with age-appropriate wear and patina to the sterling silver. Crystal presents beautifully. Any minor surface wear is consistent with more than a century of use and contributes to the character of the piece.
