A beautifully sculptural Etruscan majolica cake plate dating to the late 19th century, featuring a richly glazed surface in deep green with soft blush and warm ochre tones. The organic, leaf-like form and luminous glaze create a striking interplay of color and light, making this piece as decorative as it is functional. Elevated on a classic pedestal base, it offers a timeless silhouette that feels equally at home in a refined conservatory or layered tabletop vignette.
CONDITION
Beautiful antique condition with minor crazing throughout, consistent with age and typical of majolica from this period. On the underside, there is evidence that the plate was likely separated from the pedestal and was well-repaired; minor chips are present in this area. This is not visible when displayed and does not detract from its overall presentation.

WHY WE LOVE THIS
This is one of those rare pieces that reads as both object and art. The scale is incredibly versatile—large enough to anchor a tabletop, yet petite enough to layer effortlessly into a vignette. The glazing is exceptional, with that unmistakable depth and movement that only true antique majolica achieves. It brings a collected, heirloom quality to any space without feeling overly ornate.
STYLING SUGGESTION
Style this on a marble or stone surface with a simple cluster of green grapes or figs to echo the glaze, or leave it empty and let it function purely as a sculptural focal point. It pairs beautifully with leather-bound books, dark wicker, and natural linens for that understated Ralph Lauren conservatory feel.
