Antique Majolica Leaf Platter

A wonderfully decorative antique majolica platter modeled as a broad leaf, richly glazed in deep emerald and turquoise green with beautifully articulated veining, softly scalloped cream-toned edges, applied botanical details, and a warm brown branch-form handle. The dimensional surface and variation in the glaze give the piece the depth and character that make antique majolica so distinctive. Equally striking displayed upright or used as a decorative serving piece, it has exactly the collected English-country quality that layers beautifully into a traditional interior.
