An architectural little piece with enormous styling potential. C.1800, this antique French napolean wire planter features an intricate openwork construction of overlapping loops and latticework, finished in a wonderfully aged dark metal patina. The flared silhouette, scalloped upper edge, braided detailing around the base, and repeating looped foot give it the character of an old European conservatory find. A fitted insert at the bottom makes it ready to style with a small potted plant, paperwhites, herbs, or a moss-covered arrangement. We especially love it planted densely with white paperwhites and finished with natural moss—the contrast against the dark, timeworn wirework is exceptional.

*Note: Floral arrangement not included.

WHY WE LOVE THIS
This is exactly the kind of small architectural object that makes a room feel collected rather than decorated. The open wirework is beautiful enough to stand on its own, but styled with paperwhites, moss or a diminutive topiary, it becomes something truly special. Equally at home on an antique chest, library table, kitchen island or garden-room console.
