Large Vintage Hanford’s English Fox Hunting Figures in Traditional Riding Attire — Pair

A wonderfully whimsical pair of oversized vintage fox figures by Hanford’s, each dressed in traditional English hunt attire. Standing approximately 23" high, the pair has remarkable presence and is full of beautifully executed detail — from the scarlet hunt coats and tall black riding boots to the tailored breeches, velvet collars and expressive plush fox faces.

One figure wears classic cream breeches with a black velvet-trimmed hunt coat, while the companion is dressed in a coordinating scarlet coat with deep green velvet collar, tartan skirt and traditional black riding cap. Together they have the unmistakable character of an old English tack room or country-house sporting collection.

Their substantial scale makes them far more decorative than a typical shelf figure, and the matched pair is especially striking displayed together. A fantastic find for an equestrian library, hunt-country home, tack room, club room or collected English-country interior.

CONDITION
Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear to the textiles, plush and trim. Minor imperfections and signs of previous display are consistent with age.
