Vintage Casanova Hunt Foxhunting Equestrian Print in Burl Wood Frame

A wonderful piece of American sporting history featuring the insignia of Virginia’s historic Casanova Hunt. This vintage equestrian print centers the Casanova Hunt horn emblem within an intricate composition of bridles, bits, braided hunt whips, foxes and hounds. Rendered in a beautifully restrained palette of cream, tobacco brown, oxblood and muted blue, the design has the sophisticated feel of a classic silk hunt scarf.

The Casanova Hunt was founded in Fauquier County, Virginia in 1909 and remained an important part of Virginia hunt-country tradition for more than a century. Pieces bearing the Hunt’s insignia have become increasingly difficult to find following the Hunt’s closure in 2020.

Presented beneath glass in a handsome burled wood-tone frame, the square format makes this particularly easy to incorporate into a gallery wall, library, tack room, study or layered equestrian interior.
