Vintage Handmade Pug Needlepoint Pillow Cover

A wonderfully charming vintage needlepoint pillow cover featuring a beautifully rendered pug set against a deep woodland green background. Worked by hand in wool, the design has lovely dimension and texture, from the pug’s expressive dark face and curled tail to the subtly shaded landscape behind him. The rich, slightly muted palette gives the piece an old-world sporting-house feel without reading overly formal.

Finished with a dark velvet back, this is the kind of small accent pillow that looks especially good tucked into a leather chair, layered into a library or study, or mixed among tartans and traditional textiles.
