A beautifully modeled vintage porcelain fox by Hutschenreuther Selb, produced by the company’s Kunstabteilung art division during the immediate postwar period. The seated fox is finished in warm russet, caramel, cream, and dark brown tones with naturalistic hand-painted detailing throughout the face, ears, legs, and heavily mottled tail.
The underside bears the Hutschenreuther Selb Kunstabteilung backstamp along with “Germany US Zone,” dating the piece to approximately 1946–1949. This model is attributed to Köchenmeister and identified as model No. 1132.
CONDITION
