Vintage Original Signed Fox Hunting Oil Painting in Original Gilt Frame – 30" x 26"

A magnificent original oil painting depicting a quintessential English fox hunting scene, signed Robinson in the lower left corner and presented in its original giltwood frame. This beautifully composed sporting painting captures two huntsmen in traditional scarlet coats, one mounted on a rich bay horse and the other on a striking gray, surrounded by a lively gathering of foxhounds in a sweeping countryside landscape.

The artist's attention to detail is particularly lovely, from the horses' expressive faces and carefully rendered tack to the individually painted hounds and the subtle figures of additional riders disappearing into the distance. A wonderfully atmospheric landscape of ancient trees, rolling fields, and softly muted skies lends the composition a romantic, timeless quality.

The substantial original gold frame features warm antiqued gilding and handsome architectural molding, beautifully complementing the painting's earthy palette and traditional sporting subject. At an impressive 30 inches, this is a statement piece equally suited to an English country drawing room, an equestrian estate, a gentleman's study, or a beautifully appointed tack room.
