A charming vintage Japanese porcelain equestrian figurine depicting a traditionally dressed hunt rider in a brilliant scarlet coat astride a creamy white horse with its head gently lowered. Hand-painted details include warm caramel-toned tack and reins, white breeches, glossy black riding boots and a black cap. The wonderfully distinctive pose and saturated red coat give this piece tremendous character and make it an especially good decorative object for an English country or sporting interior. Stamped Japan on the underside.
