A striking vintage Rosenthal porcelain fox designed by noted German sculptor Max Hermann Fritz. Beautifully modeled in a seated pose, the fox features an expressive face, upright ears, richly hand-painted russet coat, dark legs and a wonderfully long sweeping brush with a white tip. The detailed modeling and nuanced coloration give the piece remarkable character and presence.
The underside bears the Rosenthal Selb-Plössberg Germany factory mark, “handgemalt” designation indicating hand-painted decoration, and the impressed M.H. Fritz signature.
At 9 inches long, this is a substantial decorative piece with exactly the sporting character we love for an English country interior. A wonderful find for collectors of Rosenthal porcelain, fox hunting antiques, sporting art and traditional European animal figures.

STYLING SUGGESTIONS
A natural addition to a layered English country or sporting interior. Style him atop a stack of antique sporting books on a library table, alongside silver trophies and equestrian objects, or give him pride of place on a mahogany console or bookcase. His warm russet coloring is especially handsome against dark woods, aged leather, brass and blue-and-white porcelain.
