A handsome vintage Salisbury pewter loving cup with double scrolling handles, engraved to commemorate the September 1, 2003 polo match between Ligonier and the 61st Regiment of India. With its polished pewter finish and classic trophy form, this is exactly the kind of piece that brings authentic sporting history into an equestrian interior.

PROVENANCE
From the estate of Dr. Richard E. Raizman, longtime captain of the Ligonier polo team, founder of Polo for the Cure, and Master of Foxhounds of the Rolling Rock Hunt. The Raizman estate included multiple pieces connected to the same 2003 Ligonier/Indian military polo visit, making this a particularly well-documented piece of American polo memorabilia.

MAKER
Salisbury Pewter.

SIZE
Approximately 7"W x 4"D x 4.5"H.

MATERIAL
Pewter.

CONDITION
Stunning vntage condition with very minor surface scratching and age-related wear consistent with use and display. The engraved inscription remains clearly legible.

STYLING SUGGESTIONS
A natural addition to an equestrian library, trophy collection, bar, study, or layered bookshelf. We love it styled among antique sporting books, silver and pewter trophies, framed polo photographs, or rich dark greenery for a collected Ralph Lauren-inspired look.
