Vintage Silver & Pressed Glass Covered Jar with Rose Finial

An exceptionally decorative vintage covered jar by Holiday Imports, combining richly patterned pressed glass with ornate silverplate mounts. The substantial glass body is worked in an intricate diamond and medallion pattern that catches the light beautifully, while the silverplate lid features elaborate floral and foliate relief, a pierced gallery edge, and a dimensional rosebud finial.

The coordinating silverplate base is equally detailed with scrolling floral ornament, giving the entire piece the look of much earlier Victorian silver. Produced during the mid-20th-century Victorian Revival period, this is the kind of piece that brings instant old-world character to a vanity, dressing room, bath, or collected tabletop.

CONDITION
Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate patina and surface wear to the silverplate. The glass presents beautifully.
