A charming vintage English cream pitcher by Spode, featuring the beloved “Leaping the Brook” scene from the celebrated Hunt series. Inspired by the sporting illustrations of renowned British equestrian artist J. F. Herring Sr., this beautifully detailed piece captures a scarlet-coated rider and his horse clearing a countryside brook in classic English fox hunting tradition.

The warm ivory glazed body provides a lovely backdrop for the richly illustrated countryside scene, while a deep forest green rim and beautifully curved chestnut brown handle lend the pitcher its unmistakable English country character. Its petite proportions make it equally lovely as a functional creamer or a decorative accent among a collection of sporting antiques.
