A handsome vintage textured sporting dog print after noted American sporting artist Edmund Henry Osthaus (1858–1928), depicting a liver-and-white Pointer poised in the field. The image has been produced with a dimensional, painterly surface that gives it the visual character of an original painting while remaining a reproduction. Osthaus was particularly celebrated for his remarkably accurate depictions of working Pointers and Setters, and this composition captures the alert posture and elegant athleticism for which his sporting works are known. The reproduced “Edmund Osthaus” signature appears at the lower right. Presented under glass in a warm wood frame with a narrow gilt inner border.

STYLING SUGGESTIONS
A particularly handsome addition to a study, library, mudroom, tack room or collected gallery wall. Style it among antique leather-bound books, silver sporting trophies, equestrian objects and traditional wood furnishings for an unmistakably Ralph Lauren–inspired sporting interior. Its compact scale also makes it excellent layered into a bookcase or hung above a small chest, bar or desk.
