A beautifully detailed vintage wool needlepoint pillow featuring a pair of golden sporting dogs rendered in warm shades of caramel, ochre, rust and chestnut against a richly patterned dark ground. The composition has the wonderful layered quality of a traditional English sporting interior, with the standing and reclining dogs framed by textile-inspired architectural details in the background.

The finely worked wool needlepoint front has wonderful texture and depth, while the reverse is finished in a soft cognac/caramel velvet that complements the warm tones of the needlework beautifully.
